On Saturday, October 23rd at 10 a.m., Sharon Towers will continue its longstanding tradition of sponsoring the Charlotte Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s™. Last year Sharon Towers was in the Top 50 Fundraising Teams; we were number 27 (in the country)! This year, we set an ambitious goal to raise $35,000, and at the time of this publication, we have raised $37,898 and are the top fundraising team in Charlotte.
“At Sharon Towers we believe in our support of the Alzheimer’s Association so strongly that we sponsor our local Walk and want to be proactive in our fundraising and awareness efforts,” says Sharon Towers’ Director of Vitality and Well-being, Jessica Bourque. “Every day at Sharon Towers we are impacted by this terrible disease, and I know many of us are impacted by it in personal lives, as well. We hope staff, residents, family and friends will join our team for the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s or consider making a tax-deductible donation. Together, we can advance research to treat and prevent Alzheimer’s and provide programs to improve the lives of millions of affected Americans.”
Join Us!
Would you like to join our team? There is no registration fee, but a small donation would be appreciated.
For the safety of our campus community, we have decided to skip the large crowd at the stadium and will be hosting our own walk here at Sharon Towers the same day. We will meet this Saturday, October 23rd at 10am at the West Entrance. Please wear purple and join us!
Friends and family are welcome at this outdoor event, but they should not come into the building.
For more information, Contact Jessica Bourque, Director of Vitality and Well-being at 704-553-3812 or email her.
Let’s #ENDALZ together!!
