Immediate (Cash) Gift

Cash gifts may be made in the form of currency, checks, money orders or bank drafts.

Ways to Give - Securities

Gifts of Securities

With potential for providing greater tax relief than gifts of cash, gifts of appreciated securities make sound financial sense. If you wish to donate a gift of stock, contact your financial advisor.

Ways to Give - Donor Advised Fund

Donor Advised Fund

A donor advised fund provides individuals the flexibility to recommend how much and how often money is granted to Sharon Towers and other qualified charities.

You can recommend a grant or recurring grants now to make an immediate impact or use your fund as a tool for future charitable gifts. You can also create a lasting legacy by naming Sharon Towers the beneficiary of the entire account or a percentage of the fund. With a percentage, you can create a family legacy of giving by naming your loved ones as your successor to continue recommending grants to charitable organizations. Contact your fund administrator for a beneficiary form.

Ways to Give - IRA

Individual Retirement Account (IRA)

Individuals who are 70 1/2 and older can make a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) gift directly to Sharon Towers in any amount up to $100,000 per year.

A required minimum distribution (RMD) is the minimum amount that people age 72 ad older must withdraw from their account each year.

Ways to Give - Legacy Planned Gifts

Legacy Gifts – Planned Gifts

A gift through your estate is one of the ways to donate to Sharon Towers at South Park, and is also an opportunity for you to create a legacy with a deferred gift to Sharon Towers through a bequest in your will, life insurance, retirement plan, and beneficiary designations, and a variety of life income gift vehicles.

Planned gifts provide for the long-term financial security of Sharon Towers and can enable you to make a lifetime, legacy gift.

Please contact the Director of Philanthropy, at (704) 553-3817 if you would like information on planned giving or to let her know that you have included Sharon Towers in your estate plans We would love to welcome you as a member of the Stroupe Legacy Circle.

Ways to Give - Gifts in Kind

Gifts-in-kind

In-kind gifts are donated tangible personal property, other than land or buildings, and includes furniture, books, jewelry, paintings, etc.

The Sharon Towers Treasure Chest and Library welcome such donations. Sales from the Treasure Chest, our resident run thrift store, benefit our community. The Library collection includes thousands of books, available for residents and team members to check out for their reading enjoyment.
